A new framework balancing expected data values and performance results
This service offers support to manufacturers who have some testing results of the performance of a product which is a disagreement between the expected data values proposed by the stakeholder defining the testing procedure and the ones proposed by the manufacturer. Therefore, as a third party with expertise in the process, the aim of the service is to analyze both proposals and help to choose the proper one.
Process description of the service:
This subservice helps IND partners to validating the results from performed testing activities. Specific support will be provided to assess reliability of the experimental methods, both with standards and different guidelines.
The first important element in this process to be aware of is having a background procedure for those experimental method. If so, the service is divided in two main paths depending on whether the data obtained is based on a standard or on different guidelines. The first path’s scope is to check if the results obtained following the experimental procedure are consistent analyzing stakeholder and manufacturers proposals. The second one is similar to the previous one, but it compares the experimental procedure to their deviation with the one defined in the standard guidelines.
Main objective:
Potential topics for this subservice verification are related to thermal and optical performance and comfort effects of façade systems, or PV energy performance, or hygrothermal performance.
