Adhesivos Soltec SL has been granted ETA 24/0066 for its SOLTEC PANEL-FIX kit used for the adhesion of façade panels.
The SOLTEC PANEL-FIX kit consists of SOLTEC PANEL-FIX polymer adhesive and SOLTEC PANEL-FIX 451SW primer, and is used for the adhesion of opaque façade cladding panels on the aluminium profiles of the substructure.
The evaluation of the SOLTEC PANEL-FIX kit in ETA 24/0066 has been carried out in accordance with the EAD 250005-00-0606 Adhesive for wall cladding, and has addressed the mechanical resistance of the adhesive, at normal, high and low temperatures, including fatigue and creep behavior, as well as the evaluation of the durability of the tensile strength after different aging conditions such as water, high temperature and humidity, saline environment, etc.
The validation of the components (specific aluminium profiles and cladding panels) joined through the SOLTEC PANEL-FIX adhesive must be verified case by case in each project by means of specific tests as given in Annex 2 of the ETA, in order to verify that the break is of a cohesive type in the body of the adhesive (and therefore the performance of the union will be equal to the intrinsic cohesion performance of the adhesive).
This development is aligned with the Open Innovation Service 1 ‘Standard Framework Procedures for Certification and Marking’ - ‘Establishment of a clear informative path to CE marking’.
