The influence of inherent coupled effects existing during the operation of the components of BIPV, BIST and BIPV-T products influencing efficiency and safety requirements is unaddressed by current standardization framework. We firmly believe that this aspect should also be addressed in the characterisation and validation of innovative construction products, so we have developed specific and innovative testing procedures to support this characterisation facing Efficiency and Safety requirements: high operation temperature, g-value evaluation, non-conventional electric performance under permanent shading conditions (urban environment), connections, fire performance and overall analysis of coupled effects (e.g., fire-electric) and assessment of new risks. In TECNALIA we offer the performance of these new tests together with the necessary tests to comply with actual requirements of the EU regulation about contruction products (CPR 305/2011/EC) as well as of other European and international certification schemes.
