Service Description
The scope of the Pilot Measurement and Verification Line 2 (PM&VL2) is a complete characterization of all the envelope parts and their effects on internal occupants in real operating conditions, both involving human subjects or thermal manikin. An important feature that the PM&VL2 offers, is the coupling of testing and modelling activity, hence exploiting the tests in order to calibrate models and broadening the analyses. Aim of the PM&VL is to include the support to industrial partners from products´ development to commercialization phases, facilitating an open innovation approach within the pilot line testing path. The pilot line focuses on the test chain of innovative building envelope components and in particular on their impact on the IEQ and health requirements, as well as energy demand. Thanks to the vision on the whole innovative products’ development chain and exploiting a well-structured observatory on different technologies, this pilot line can detect possible weaknesses related to products and suggest new challenges to the industrial partners with an open innovation approach.
Features
The PM&VL offers a complete characterization of all the envelope parts and their effects on internal occupants in real operating conditions, both involving human subjects or thermal manikin. A coupling of testing and modeling activity is possible, hence exploiting the tests in order to calibrate models and broadening the analyses. Industrial partners are supported form products´ development to commercialization phases, facilitating an open innovation approach within the pilot line testing path. In the following we list some features:
